TBP_Show - ThingHere at SHOW, we love port manteaus like panstravaganza, in fact we use them so much, they’re practically old hat. (Or practically addictive!) Anyway, here is the second THRILLING installment of that funky panel we did. Coming up in two weeks, we will have an all NEW special guest talking about the world of trading cards. Do you think she’ll trade her Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie Card for our piece of stale bread??

1361743965.brownwolf_agouti_rexRemember way back when we had a livestream of our panel at FurtherConfusion 2013? Well now for those of you that missed out, here is the first part of (most of) the recording of the panel. We had to cut the stream a bit short at the end, but that won’t affect this first episode.

Enjoy! Listen to our special guests Sigil, Rafferty, and a bunch of random people in our esteemed audience!

Tonight on SHOW we look into the dark, complicated world of the late 1980′s, discussing Christian scare books meant to explain all the dark influences behind YOUR favorite toys and cartoons. Those guys don’t like anything, so you’re sure to hear valuable information about how the Smurfs and Cabbage Patch Kids are destroying this nation’s wholesome Christian values!

(Forgot to post last night because this week’s schedule has been a lot of non-routine strangeness.)

SHOW 88: Food Fight 2: Fight Fooder

Join us fSHOW_foodfightor our continuing discussion of the movie so food fighty that it couldn’t be contained in one mere episode. Once again, the guest with the best (Sigil) weighs in with more amazing insights into the world of Dex Dogtective, Dog Detective, and Sunshine Goodness and, of course, the incomparable Cheezl Weasel. He’s a weasel made of cheese, except that he’s not.

SHOW 87: It’s Pra-cah-tically Addictive!

1362794653.sigil_foodfightshowHere on SHOW, we are fans of bad movies. We are fans of AWFUL movies. There’s little more we love than movies that look like a junior high school computer science class made them. Movies that sound like the public domain vomited into their sound files! Movies that (for some reason) seem to choke Netflix with their sheer numbers. We are now premiering, TONIGHT, our review of one of the greatest awful movies out there, Foodfight!

We are also doing it with a special guest. Can you guess who, it’s a mystery!

Today’s art is courtest of Sigil!

1360904435.pierrezaius_freakyshowTonight on SHOW we are presenting an up-to-the-minute news BLAST about the recent PegaUniVegasConAlicorn or whatever that was hosted in Las Vegas and turned out to be a colossal scam, leaving hundreds of bronies stranded and setting up relief funds (read: additional scams) to help them clop and wee wee wee all way home.

We also talk a bit about heists and our own history with thinking up scams.

Listen to the episode and then gaze upon the face of Ponybucks with us:

SHOW 57: Dinosaucers Return

“The Tyrannos have been spotted in the area. We need to find them before they hurt themselves; remember all the trouble they got into over that clown? The last time they went out on their own, they needed our supervision or else they would have stolen all those toys and tried to use them as weapons. Imagine all the embarrassment that would have caused them if they had tried to use them on us!”

Also, we’re getting fat left and right!

SHOW 56: Listen Up You Idiot-tops!

“Listen up, tail for brains! This is his Supreme High Scaliness of the Tyrannos Genghis-Rex. The puny mammals of SHOW have asked me to introduce this week’s episode because it deals with a topic that I despise: The Dinosaucers! You pathetic earthlings may remember the Dinosaucers cartoon that ran briefly in the late 80s and chronicled my weekly triumph over those fool-a-sauruses! What is this thing I’m introducing? A podcast? What is that? It must be some sort of new ultimate weapon! Ankylo! Ready the fossilizer guns! We’re going to steal this podcast and use it to conquer Earth!”

SHOW: 53: Yo Agouti and Aurelina’s Treasure Hunt

Posted in cartoons/animation, television, VHS with tags , , , , , , , , , , on July 28, 2012 by admin

Here on SHOW, we often talk about the much beloved cartoons of the 80s and 90s. But what of those that came before? Which side will they choose? If you asked the giant floating liquid metal skeleton head of Tony Jay, he would probably know. But we do too, because the cartoons of the 60s and 70s continued to be broadcast, in all their awful zombie glory, throughout the later decades too. In this episode, we look back on the cartoons that existed before the late 80s animation renaissance of Dinosaucers and Dungeons and Dragons. Now, this week, we’re talking about the dark gods of animation, Hanna Barbera, among others!

SHOW 50: Bicker Tape Parade

Today SHOW delves into obscurity with a secret MYSTERY TAPE and some other labeled tapes that also contain untold horrors. If you’ll notice, like many episodes, Aurelina is stuffed up and sniffly because of her allergies to things that suck. She put herself on the line! In the following we discuss 90s commercials, 70s cartoons, and the greatest movie ever. Try not to mind the stuffed up Aurelina, who is also stuffed up today, posting this, on her BIRTHDAY! So as you bask in the mellifluous tones of our voices discussing the most important stuff from twenty to forty years ago, basting over your bloated, decadent husk like sweet clover honey, think of all the hard work that went into editing it!

SHOW wishes host Aurelina a very happy birthday! She did not write this! Go back to bed! Agouti sucks woooo!

Here’s a little taste of Uncle Nick and the Magic Forest.
